Yesterday I went to the Tea Party rally/protest in downtown Lexington, to protest the current administration's spending/governing policies. It was a good chance also for me to try out my new camera. It performed even better than I had hoped. The photo above was taken from close to 50 yards away. The clarity with it is just awesome, especially compared to what I had been using. I'm looking forward to trying out the macro on it, and I know that I will be just as happy with that. The rally was very cool too, the first time I'd ever attended a political rally. Speeches, signs, costumes, and a brilliant day of sunshine for it all. I've uploaded the best of the photos onto both my Facebook page and my Flickr account...

Macro is a setting on the camera for taking VERY closeup photos...

It's a true friend, Aled, that would look forward to another's macro without knowing what it was... :)
