So, I'm very happy that there is a man in my apartment right now, with lots of tools. You see, I've been without a furnace since Saturday morning. Fortunately, the laws of physics have been on my side, since I live on the 3rd floor. My downstairs neighbor, whether he knows it or not, has been helping keep me from freezing this weekend. Actually, the landlady also provided me with an electric space heater, which I broke down and used last night. Before that, it wasn't quite cold enough, and frankly, I'm afraid of space heaters. Almost all of the stupid house fire stories we hear around here this time of year start with "faulty space heater". Anyway, I'm glad that the heater guy finally seems to have all the parts he needs (one needed to be ordered) and is making progress towards having my furnace up and running again. In other news, Mike O. has requested to see some of my art up in here, so here's one of the illustrations for the book I designed for my final project last semester. I'll try and get some more up later, once I get everything more in order. Actually, I've made some progress in that area in the last couple of days--I took off work yesterday and today to have a 4-day weekend to catch up on some housework and stuff. I got quite a bit done, but I also had plenty of lazy time to spend watching movies. :) posted by #Debi at 3:46 PM | permalink |
