Go, Debi, it's your birthday! Go, Debi...anyway, you get the idea. Forty five years and about a half hour ago, I came into this world, butt first if my mom is to be believed. And who would lie about something like that?! :^) I used to get excited about birthdays because of the parties and presents and all that. Now the very fact that I'm still around for another one is enough to get me jazzed. (Don't get me wrong--the fact that my friend Toni is taking me out for Indian food tonight is pretty sweet, too...) You see, as a young person, I couldn't imagine myself any older than 40. So, I figured that was about how long I would live. The way I see it (still, to a certain degree), I've had 5 bonus years so far, and looking forward to more.
