Sunday, August 14, 2005 Liz and I went to Louisville yesterday, to the Speed Art Museum to see an exhibit called, "Berthe Morisot: An Impressionist and Her Circle". It was pretty cool, but I think I was more impressed with the permanent collection there. The Morisot exhibit was a bit disappointing for me because there weren't as many paintings as I had thought that there might be. We had fun there though, spending about 3 1/2 hours there altogether. I took some photos of the permanent collection (with permission), and have loaded them onto my fotopage.
After we left the museum, we went to A. Baer Fabrics, a 3-floor fabric store in Louisville. Liz especially seemed to like the decorator fabrics floor. :^) We ended up not buying anything there, and proceeded on to a late lunch at Buca di Beppo, where we ate like it was our last meal. Exceptionally good food! After that, we made a quick trip over to Liz's mom's place to say hi, then headed back home. To top it off, when we got back to Liz's, we called Brian, who came over and watched a movie with us. A very good day, indeed.
Update: I corrected the link for my fotopage above, and it should work now. Sorry 'bout that!
