So, I'm not going to the Stellar Scholars banquet tonight--I feel like crap. I did make it to work today, and to my class, but my lungs are inflamed, as in "on fire". Breathing deeply is somewhat uncomfortable--coughing feels like someone is pouring gasoline into my bronchial tubes. I may as well have called in sick to work today; I think I might have made more money that way. I came in to find that my cubicle had been moved--again--and where they moved it to had no power source. That made it more of a challenge to run the computer. So, I moved to another cubicle for the day, and it took the tech boys (and/or girls) almost an hour and a half to get the network running there. Out of a 4-hour shift, that's a lot of just hangin' around. I used the time to study for my Concepts class.

Once I got to school, I could tell that there would be no hanging around after class waiting for the banquet to begin. I hurt too badly for that. I found out that I had missed quite a bit in some of my classes yesterday. I missed a key demonstration in ceramics class, but one of the girls from class is going to help me catch up tomorrow. I also missed getting to do a very cool drawing in my drawing class--we apparently got to use color for the first time in there yesterday. Both of those classes have assignments due on Tuesday that will require some catching up on my behalf--hopefully, nothing I can't handle.

The big news is that EKU is playing UK in the NCAA basketball tournament tomorrow afternoon. Now, anyone who knows me very well knows that normally I just pray for March to be over each year so that I don't have to hear about basketball anymore. But this time, I am directly affected by this turn of events. Out of my three classes tomorrow, two are being cancelled due to the tournament, even though the President of the university sent out a campus-wide email saying that classes would run on schedule. Apparently, it was left up to the individual professors to decide whether to cancel class. My drawing teacher is "planning to have back trouble" tomorrow. So, anyway, two of the classes are cancelled, and the third, ceramics, will be without a teacher as he is in Baltimore for some sort of conference for the rest of the week. I still plan on going to that class, because I have the furthest to go to make up time from yesterday in there. But after that, I can come home and cauterize my lungs or something. :^)
