I'm in the computer lounge in Case Hall between classes. I have a few minutes before my Spanish class starts, and I felt like writing. My bud, Andi, just showed up, so I'm talking to her and writing at the same time. What a multi-tasker I am! I baked biscotti last night for my Ceramics class, and they were a big hit. All the other teachers in the building were gathering like ants at a picnic. I think I've made some major brownie points there--or would you call them biscotti points? :^)

I have found a somewhat distressing side effect of hooking up the DSL; I find that when I leave my computer for an extended period of time, it shuts off power by itself. I don't know if that's related directly to the DSL hookup or not, I just know that it started doing that after I hooked up. So, I have to go through the hassle of starting up my machine and having it tell me that I shut down incorrectly, blah blah blah. I hate it when machines give me attitude! Speaking of that, my printer was giving me attitude the other day, too. I got some new ink cartridges from Lasermonks at a really good deal--$30 for a whole round of cartridges compared to about $35 for just a black one at Staples. After I installed them, for several times when I copied something, the printer kept saying, "Ink cartridges are not genuine Epson ink--print quality may suffer". Then I had to press another button to continue. Uppity! It seems to have figured out who's boss, however, because after I turned it off and then on again, it stopped doing that.

Well, all this is pretty inane, but I don't have time to get to the meaty stuff right now. Maybe this weekend. It's time to head for class right now. I'm probably going to stay on campus late tonight and finish my ceramics project so I don't have to do it this weekend. Later!
