I'm trying out the "Blog This" feature of Blogger to see how it works. Hopefully, this'll go through with no hitches.
On Friday, I took an unusual detour through the Powell Bldg. at school, which is the student life building. I generally only end up in the bottom floor of this building, since that's where the OWLs lounge is (and the food court). But on Friday, I was coming from the campus bookstore, which corresponds to the 2nd floor of the Powell Bldg., headed to the parking lot to go to work after class. Anyway, I'm not even sure why I went into the building, unless it might've been to use the restroom before my 30-minute drive. (Too much info?) My point is, if I hadn't gone to that floor, or if I hadn't had to use the bathroom, I would've missed something special. In the main lobby area of the Powell Bldg., a portion of the AIDS quilt was on display. Apparently, it was only up through today. I was very interested in seeing it in detail, but I was late for work. So I took a bunch of photos of it, which I have uploaded onto my fotopage. Part of the display we had at EKU included the square for Arthur Ashe. I got a closeup photo of that square as well.
