This is my first post using the "new" Blogger platform, and I must say, it's different. It seems like there are more steps to go through to get to the posting area, and I liked being able to see at a glance when I first logged on who's been posting. I've found some of my favorite blogs to read that way. Oh, well, they didn't ask me, did they? I've been remiss in keeping the updates coming. I lost three more pounds last week, bringing the total so far up to 14. But then I skipped Monday and Tuesday's workouts. (Monday's due to working late, Tuesday's due to having called in sick and sleeping most of the day. Nothing serious, just exhaustion more than anything, I think.) Hopefully, missing the workouts won't have too great an impact on the progress. Bill Phillips (who authored Body For Life) says not to beat yourself up or try to "make it up", but just to get back on track from where you fell off and go from there. So that's what I plan to do. This weekend was pretty hectic, but fun. I don't think I got to bed before midnight either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Of course, Sunday was Mother's Day, so I trekked up to the hills to see Mom on her day. We had lunch with her, Dad, and my aunt Marilyn and her daughter (my cousin) Amy, and Marilyn's niece by marriage, Jackie. It was good fun, and we just sat around outside and tried out the Adirondack glider Dad made for Mom. (There are pictures of all this excitement at my fotopage.) Later in the evening, I headed back to Lexington for Liz's "surprise" birthday party. That was much fun, as well. Matt and I went in together to get her a bat house, which she was wanting. Alan has photos of the party at his fotopage. Friday was great fun, too. I have some regular friends I usually hang out with on Fridays, and we decided to go down to Triangle Park, one of the parks in downtown Lexington, and hang out by the fountain. Some good photos of that evening to be had at my fotopage, as well. Well, I'm missing American Idol, so I gotta go now. Don't ask me why I still watch it--I really am losing interest in it, but addictions die hard... posted by #Debi at 8:15 PM | permalink |
