I'm a little confused. Maybe one of you with more "tech" experience than I have can explain this to me. Is there some insidious new sort of spam out there that I'm not aware of? I've just finished checking my counter stats (I do that from time to time just to see how people find me--I find some really interesting Google searches that way). I noticed, in the referrers list of my counter, that there were 3 "referrers" that seemed odd. They are commercial websites (2 French and 1 from Texas) on which I am of course not listed, because why would a personal blog be listed on a commercial website? Two of the sites deal with GPS tracking of some sort and the other is a futon website. I noticed then that all of these referrers were from the same IP address, all using Linux operating system and a browser called Konquerer 3.1. That just strikes me as strange, but then again I'm not really well versed in what all those stats mean. How does one get to my site via a website on which I am not listed as a link? And should I be concerned about this, or am I just paranoid? (I realize that those last 2 choices are not mutually exclusive--after all, just because you're paranoid it doesn't mean there's no one out to get you. :^P) In any case, any education is greatly appreciated. I also have a good long post cooking in my brain to try to get up over the weekend, so--be afraid, be very afraid! :^)
