I've meant to post before now, but I've been so busy on my 4-day weekend that I haven't gotten around to it. Yes, I got the 4-day weekend! It's a very good thing, but I've pretty well pissed it away so far, not doing the things I should be doing, like housework, job hunting, working out, etc. Instead, I've been hanging out with friends and shopping. And sleeping. And watching TV. Hopefully, I'll get to some of the "should" things tomorrow, or maybe even a little bit today.

I'm very stoked about the fact that, in an hour or two, I'll be heading over to my friend Joseph's house for brunch. Kyle is in from Texas, and I'm really looking forward to seeing him and hanging out with the other folks that will be there. I'm hoping that Rachel and Matt will be there as well. Should be fun. Then this evening, Brian, Matt, and maybe the Sherwoods are meeting at Brian's house to eat and watch the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, which Brian taped off cable. It's got two of my favorite comedians in it, Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall, so it should be really entertaining.

I had a really good time at Thanksgiving this year. I went to Mom and Dad's up in the "hills", as usual, but this year we had some cousins from Hamilton, OH, join us. I hadn't seen them in at least a couple of years, and it was a lot of fun. We even played cards, until one of the cousins got a little miffed that we girls got beat one game and the guys were kinda sore winners. Of course, we beat them the first game, so in the end we were tied.

I actually braved the after-Thanksgiving madness to go shopping yesterday, except not for Christmas gifts--for myself! Target had a great deal on a digital camera--$88 for a 3.3 megapixel Vivitar. I had been saving for a lovely white gold and emerald ring, as my birthday gift to me, and my folks had contributed some to the fund, so I asked them if they would mind if I held off on the ring and got the camera instead. They were cool with that ("It's your money now--do whatever"), so off I went. I was going to post my first photo with it here today, but I did something wrong in transferring it from the camera to the computer and managed to lose the photo in both the camera and the computer. Disconnected without finishing the process or something. Oh, well, I'll try and take some photos during all of my activities today and post some of them. If I get good at this, I plan to get one of those fotopages.

Well, I should start getting ready to head over to Joseph's, so I'll sign off for now.
