It's amazing the things you learn when you're not even trying! I was just at Andrew Careaga's site(happy birthday to him, happy birthday to him....), and through a little bit of twisting and turning, found out that today, if I were Catholic, would be my name day! (Don't they throw you a party for that or something?) Ah, well, one more bit of trivial information to stick in a nook of my brain.....
By the way, a happy All Saints' Day to you all, and congratulations to all you saints. If you're not sure if you're a saint, check out Alan's entry for today; he gives a nice, concise explanation of All Saints' Day and how to know if you're a saint.
I was reading the Fenian again, and found through him an interesting piece of history: a guide to Northern Ireland that was given out to American soldiers posted to Northern Ireland during WWII. It's a pretty interesting read.
Hooray, it's Friday! I have "company" coming to town tomorrow--my friend Lisa and some of her friends from Northern KY are coming down and we are all, along with Matt and Brian, going to a concert--Max Lucado, Michael W. Smith, and Third Day. It should be a lot of fun. But now, I have to get this apartment cleaned up so that these people don't see how I really live!
