A friend of mine sent me this via e-mail and it's pretty cool. Just click on the link and follow the instructions once you get there.
I went to the endocrinologist this morning, and things went well. I asked Dr. Boggess about cutting back my meds again, and she said she'd take a look at my blood work and then maybe. I was encouraged that she didn't just flat out say, "No." So be praying for me if you think of it. I've been on this medication, propylthiouracil (PTU), for about a year now, and I gained 40 pounds the first 6 months I was on it. At that point I was disgusted and asked her to cut back the medicine, and she did, from 9 pills a day to 6. The weight gain stopped, but I can't seem to lose any weight, even though the girls at work told me I never eat anything (they don't see me at home in the evenings :^} ), and I've started walking about 1 1/2 to 2 miles a day. If she cuts the meds back again, maybe it would help with the "no energy" thing and I could get some of this off me. I've been told that it was a miracle of sorts that she cut me back the first time, and I think God has one or two more miracles up His sleeve, so......
